Nick has been a photographer since the early nineties. He drew a lot of inspiration from his uncle, John Adams, who was a respected fashion and glamour photographer in the swinging 60s through to the 'big hair' 80s in London. His work can still be found in stock libraries in London with the popular resurgence of the retro culture. Nick himself started his career working on cruise ships where he met his wife, Lori (from Colombus Ohio). In 1994 Nick and Lori moved to England with the help of The Princes Trust (an excellent English Charity started by Prince Charles to help young people who wanted to start up in business). Nick set up 'Nick Adams Photography' in a rural market town called Maldon in Essex. During their stay in England, Lori and Nick got married and had their first child Max . In 1998 Lori, Nick and Max moved to Southwest Florida where Nick Adams Photography made a reappearance with better weather and the sandy beaches as a backdrop. Nick Lori and Max have made Southwest Florida their permanent home along with two additions to their family, Brooke and McKenna.

Shelly & Chad- Casa Ybel Resort, Sanibel Island

It seems that we have had a run of weddings at Casa Ybel recently, none finer than Shelly and Chad’s wedding last Saturday! After getting ready at The Sanibel Inn, the festivities moved to Casa Ybel Resort. The wedding took place between the twin palms at the west end of the property. The reception was held in a tent on the lawn in front of the Thistle Lodge. The weather was great, the setting was perfect and both sets of families were super nice. Top that with a great couple and weddings don’t get any better than that!

Courtney & Troy’s Wedding – Casa Ybel Resort, Sanibel Island

I was fortunate enough to photograph Courtney and Troy’s wedding this last weekend at Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel Island.  Troy (Merritt) is a rookie on the PGA tour. He was taking practice swings with an imaginary club just before he was about to go down the aisle!  Maybe that’s why he won Q school last year. Nerves of steel. He must be one of the only guys that swings a golf club and it relaxes him!
Courtney was fun to work with and a really sweet girl. What an exciting future they have ahead of them! I wish you both all the best.
And you have a new fan Troy.  I am a big golf fan and a player so I will be paying close attention to the PGA this year.
Have a great honeymoon and good luck at West Palm next week!
