Nick has been a photographer since the early nineties. He drew a lot of inspiration from his uncle, John Adams, who was a respected fashion and glamour photographer in the swinging 60s through to the 'big hair' 80s in London. His work can still be found in stock libraries in London with the popular resurgence of the retro culture. Nick himself started his career working on cruise ships where he met his wife, Lori (from Colombus Ohio). In 1994 Nick and Lori moved to England with the help of The Princes Trust (an excellent English Charity started by Prince Charles to help young people who wanted to start up in business). Nick set up 'Nick Adams Photography' in a rural market town called Maldon in Essex. During their stay in England, Lori and Nick got married and had their first child Max . In 1998 Lori, Nick and Max moved to Southwest Florida where Nick Adams Photography made a reappearance with better weather and the sandy beaches as a backdrop. Nick Lori and Max have made Southwest Florida their permanent home along with two additions to their family, Brooke and McKenna.

Cover Shot for Southern Theater Magazine

I just found out one of my images has been selected for Southern Theater Magazine.

Nick and Company,

I wanted to let you know that one of your images was selected as the Cover Shot for the summer edition of Southern Theatre Magazine – a publication for theatre professionals in the SE United States. As soon as I get my hands on a copy, I will send you a few. It is a shot from LEND ME A TENOR. The show is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary this year, and a few different organizations are planning retrospectives on it and the playwright.

ALSO, we submitted an image for a slide show of images highlighted on the publisher’s online publication. We were selected and are the first image in the show.

Coming Soon! Octohawk- Cinestar 8

We are pleased to announce the latest addition to the Nick Adams Photography image capturing team…..Octohawk.com (website under construction). Over the last 8 weeks Nick has been putting countless hours and late nights into building and fine tuning a Cinestar 8 octocopter. The multirotor was bought in a kit form. The plus side to this is that Nick knows the copter in and out. We are in the process of getting a demo reel together to show exactly what she is capable of. So far we can honestly say the results have been phenomenal! Breathtaking beauty captured from the air in a way that helicopters and light aircraft cannot achieve.
We can get closer and lower with more agility. The multirotor is equipped with a three axis gyro stabilized camera gimbal that insures smooth, flowing high definition cinematic footage. You need stills? Not a problem, we can do that too! Applications include: Movie/ Documentary making, Architectural, Real Estate, etc. We plan on covering from Captiva Island/Sanibel Island to Fort Myers and down to Naples. In fact the whole of South West Florida…..  come to think of it we will go anywhere:)
