“Collected Stories” The lines between ‘teacher and student’ and ‘fact and fiction’ begin to blur in this fascinating story of friendship and betrayal. Ruth is a celebrated author at the end of a long and successful career; Lisa is an eager young graduate student at the beginning of her journey as a novelist. When Ruth takes Lisa on as her protégé their relationship quickly becomes a treacherous dance of friendship, professional jealousy, poetic license, and ultimately, betrayal.
